Trump’s National Guard deployment in Los Angeles blocked by judge

A federal judge on Dec. 10 blocked President Donald Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in Los Angeles and ordered Gov. Gavin Newsom be given back control of the guardsmen, according to a court filing.

Trump ordered 2,000 National Guard troops Los Angeles in June after protests against the president’s immigration crackdown sometimes turned violent.
