Some Senate Democrats want to shut down the government, unless Republicans agree to new curbs on Donald Trump’s authoritarianism. But blocking a budget bill won’t work.
Note: posting this link, interesting take, but I think the argument is flawed. Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures, and a shutdown seems more than warranted
